It is easy in a time of change, whether its a separation or a custody action, to withdraw from the things that keep you active. You may not feeling like going out, making new friends, or socializing. You may not even feel like changing out of your sweatpants! But one of the things that can help you the most during this emotional time is to get active. Whether its meditation, yoga and finding your inner peace, or running out your frustrations, committing to an active lifestyle can be one of the most healthy ways you can deal with change. Attorney Spidell realizes that getting yourself back to normal is important, for yourself and your children and recognizes that this process doesn't necessarily end just because their case does.

Get Active

A friend once told me "If you harbor bitterness, happiness will find somewhere else to dock"- and this stuck with me. Getting the negative energy out is just as important as getting the positive energy in. So finding your outlet, letting go of your frustrations, pain and disappointment and re-channeling that to a healthy lifestyle is important. Below are a few of Attorney Spidell's favorite local activities:

  • Sign up for a local running club- Greensboro Running Club or Runner Dude's Fitness (Greensboro)

  • Take a boxing or kickboxing class- ILOVEKICKBOXING (High Point) or 9Rounds (Greensboro/ Winston-Salem)

  • Indoor Rock Climbing- The Ultimate Climbing Gym (Greensboro)

  • Golf
